SEARCH AD PROGRAM · CLAIM #1
Advertising without entering the answer
Money enters at render only — behind a relevance gate that price cannot cross, priced as a flat public amount rather than per click. This page explains what you see as a reader and how board ranks work if you advertise.
For readers — what you will see
On AI Web Search, advertising is structural separation, not inline persuasion. The answer is produced first; any commercial surface is drawn afterward in its own region.
- 01
Ask on AI Web Search
Open /search?tab=ai and submit your question. Classic web results and other tabs are not part of this program.
- 02
Answer is generated and sealed
The model produces an answer from retrieval and citations. We compute a SHA-256 hash of the canonical answer bytes before any ad logic runs. The seal chip shows this hash on the page.
- 03
Relevance gate runs
Board bidders are matched to the classified intent of your question. Only advertisers who pass the gate are eligible; amount paid is not an input to admission.
- 04
Sponsored region may render below
If a qualifier exists, one primary card (plus up to two runners-up) appears in a separate SPONSORED region under a dashed rule — never inside the answer paragraph. The flat USD amount is printed on the card.
- 05
Neutral View is always available
Toggle Neutral View to hide sponsored UI and see a plain comparison table from cited sources only. The answer hash does not change. Bidders in the table are marked but not reordered.
Where money can enter
Every generative-search ad mechanism places revenue in one of five pipeline stages. Depth is the variable that matters: the deeper the injection, the more of the answer itself is for sale.
| # | Stage | What a bid buys | Visible? | Policy |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Retrieval | Inclusion in the document pool the model reads | No | SEALED |
| 2 | Source ranking | Position or presence in the citation list | Partly | SEALED |
| 3 | Context assembly | Brand strings or framing inside the prompt | No | SEALED |
| 4 | Token generation | Wording — segment, token, or neuron allocation | No | SEALED |
| 5 | Render | A labelled region drawn after the answer is final and hashed | Yes | ADS HERE |
Hash check
A stage-5 slot can be removed with no effect on the answer. Compare the SHA-256 with ads on and off — it must match.
On every answer
The five-stage rail on AI Web Search shows which stages are sealed and which alone may carry ads — the same taxonomy as this page.
For advertisers — flat public board ranks
Claim #1 is a board auction: one flat USD amount per intent-matched board, public to the dollar. Not CPC, not per-impression, not retrieval influence.
Beat #1 by ≥ $5
Highest qualifying payer holds rank #1 for the window. On a raise you pay the difference only — no refund when outbid.
Relevance before amount
Your tagline must match the question's classified intent. Failing the gate withholds the slot entirely — no backfill from higher payers.
120 chars · human-written
Must match your live page. No superlatives, urgency, or second person. Re-reviewed on every raise.
Neutral-view loss upfront
The console shows the share of readers on Neutral View before you pay — deducted from forecast, not from your flat invoice.
